Biography

Previously the A&R for Berlin’s Fine Records Kevin Griffiths launched Tsuba in Jan 2006. Tsuba is now regarded as one of the worlds key players in underground house music and has an enviable and consistently growing fanbase amongst djs, music fans and journalists alike. Tsuba is the second most charted UK label on RA following Rekids.

A DJ for more than 10 years, dates in 2008 included Fabric, The End and T Bar in London, Lost Baggage in Sydney, Zouk in Singapore, Snatch in Miami, City Hall in Barcelona and for Mandarine Crew in Mexico City.

February 2009 saw the release of second single, ‘Cantona Kung Fu’, reaching number 2 in the deep house chart on Beatport for one month and recently licensed to compilations by Steve Bug and Terry Lee Brown Junior.

Forthcoming releases in Autumn 2009 include ‘Journey To Jah’ on the esteemed Four:Twenty label (+ remix from Simon Baker) and the ‘Oh Yeah’ EP on Tsuba (+ mixes from Julien Chaptal and Afrilounge).

No label owner / DJ would be the complete package without a club night and the infamous ‘issst’ ticks that box. 2007 saw the release of the second issst double CD mixed by Kevin and released through Global Underground.

Tsuba takes to the road this Autumn hosting a label night at Fabric in London (7th Nov) with a date to follow at Watergate in Berlin.
