Currently residing in New York City, M A N I K, real name Chris, is a producer DJ that breathes Electronic Dance Music and simply put, is here to stay for a long time. Graduating from school in 2007 with a degree in Music Business, he is not by any means your typical artist. Upcoming material in 2010 will see him release on some of the best underground electronic labels: Josh Wink’s Ovum, highly revered U.K imprint Four:Twenty, Chicago’s very own Fresh Meat- run by legendary Audio Soul Project, and many more, have all combined to make for a stand out year. Some artists are pigeonholed as being into just one thing, but not Chris.... Being heavily inspired by a diverse and comprehensive musical background, he is also producing under alias, Chatterbox. As an artist, his style is a unique blend of cutting edge house, futuristic techno, and deep old school grooves, along with dark & edgy sounds.
