Biography
Londoner James Mowbray and legendary Sheffield-based producer D
Ramirez joined forces in 2005 to work on a three single project for
Four:Twenty.
James has been DJing since he was a teenager but only began producing
in 2004. Dean 'D Ramirez' Marriott has been making music since the
early 90s, even scoring a chart hit as The Lisa Marie Project.
They work together in Dean's studio in Sheffield, with both taking
equal responsibility for beats, with James writing and performing
vocals. Their first collaboration, 'The Day Hip Hop Died', was a
comment on the poor state of hip hop. The second single (that
featured an awesome H-Man remix) was 'I Choose Anger'. "It's a
cryptic vocal about an argument with my girlfriend," says James.
Look out for their third single on Four:Twenty, due late 2006.
