Warm, subtle & enticing deep house, 'Holding' is a concoction of pulsating pads, strings and deep grooving bass. On the flip Dani Koenig provides an excellent compliment with a haunting remix darker, edgier whilst still relying on the lush strings and pads from the original.

Alex Metric is originally from Salisbury and used to do work experience at Adam Freeland’s Marine Parade label. Although he started out making breaks, for his first release on Four:Twenty he demonstrates he’s capable of producing warm, emotional house music as well. It’s quite melancholy but not too sad at the same time. The remix comes from Zurich’s Dani Koenig, another Four:Twenty signing, who flattens it out and introduces some eerie sounds into the mix. 4/5
