Brighten up ya day by checking out the brilliant new EP from 23 year old Welshman Tom Demac, “Long Way Down ” complete with a remix from Swiss safe-hands Ripperton.
Having already garnered a reputation for quality electronic house and techno via excellent output for Sthlm Audio, Hypercolour and his own Eletronique Audio, Demac’s new EP for Bristol based Four:Twenty sees him set the bar higher with two tracks of thoughtful yet dancefloor house.
The lead cut, ‘Long Way Down’ is a bumping groove which interweaves pure, machine-made sounds with a tweaked vocal which results in a truly forward thinking deep houser with real soul and originality. Its counterpart ‘Jaded’ takes the traditional chord-laden deep house template to a new level. Constantly evolving effects and percussion juggle a beautifully simple melody throughout the track and Demac shows off his uncanny ability to breathe life and warmth into circuits.
Ripperton furthers his reputation as one of the finest house and techno artists today with a remix of ‘Jaded’ which combines smooth acidic bass tones with a laid-back, blissed out vibe.
